2021-22 All-WWAC Men’s Basketball Players Honored – Press & Guide

The Western Wayne Athletic Conference recently released its list of all-conference winners for the 2021-22 men’s basketball season.

Among those selected were players from Robichaud, Crestwood, Melvindale and Annapolis.

Robichaud finished second in the WWAC this season with a 12-2 record against conference opponents and he was behind only state powerhouse Romulus. The Bulldogs, who also won a district championship, had a total of three players earn All-WWAC honors for their efforts on the field this winter.

Robichaud’s seniors have been Jaylen Carter, Gregory Jackson and Courntey Forehand.

Crestwood finished fourth to fourth in the conference standings for 2021-22 and also posted a winning record as it was 8-6 against foes WWAC.

The Chargers had two players who earned all-conference honors this year thanks to the senior duo of Mahdi Beydoun and Hass Abbas.

Melvindale placed fifth in WWAC this winter and closed conference play with a 7-7 record.

The Cardinals also had two All-WWAC winners this winter, as junior Jamar Bibbs and senior Antheis Bolden were both selected.

Annapolis went through a tough rebuilding year and eventually finished tied for seventh in the conference with Garden City.

The Cougars had a player selected for the all-conference team and junior Hassan Rivers won the spot.
