Basketball players invited to inaugural 3-on-3 tournament at Riverside Park | New

The Logansport Parks and Recreation Department will host Eel River’s first summer shootout in June to celebrate the new basketball courts at Riverside Park.

The event is a 16-team tournament for ages 16 and up and will take place from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 26. The $30 registration fee per team will cover the cost of a t-shirt for each player, food, beverage and service providers (coach, officials, etc.).

“I am thrilled to be planning this event for the town of Logansport,” said events director Ammon Tuitavuki, who is also a member of the parks board. “I’ve played basketball all my life and I’m thrilled to bring basketball players together on these brand new courts.”

Each team must have three players on their roster, and no more than four players, and be registered as a team by the June 14 registration deadline. Additions and/or changes to rosters will be permitted until the start of the first match. Players can only appear on one team roster. All players must sign a tournament waiver.

There will be no age or gender divisions. All teams should expect to play within the first 2 hours of the tournament.
