Many NBA athletes are known for giving back and being actively involved in the communities where they grew up. There’s no doubt that once you’ve made it to the top of the NBA, it must be nice to give back. Luka Doncic was the latest player to make a contribution for his hometown of Ljubljana in Slovenia.
The Dallas Mavericks Twitter account recently revealed that Luka Doncic remodeled his childhood basketball courts, where he “learned and practiced” his basketball skills. There’s no doubt that basketball can be a great way for kids to pass time, and Luka Doncic’s generosity is sure to be put to good use by many in the community.
Luka Doncic also spent time interacting with people in his hometown, signing shoes, taking autographs and shooting himself. There’s no doubt that Luka Doncic is already considered a legend in his Ljubljana, and that will only make him even more endearing to the city. It’s good to see athletes like Luka Doncic continue to interact with ordinary people while having fun. Luka Doncic made his own statement about his partnership with 2K Foundations on the courts on Twitter and got a shoutout from Ronnie 2K for being a good partner.
There’s no doubt that Luka Doncic has had a busy off-season even outside of this business. Right after finishing his 7-game streak against the Los Angeles Clippers, he rushed to play in the Olympics for the Slovenian national team. He was a key force during the Olympics, even though Slovenia ultimately failed to win a medal. However, he also had fun while on vacation, including hanging out with celebrity chef “Salt Bae” earlier this summer. Let’s hope Luka Doncic returns to the regular season rejuvenated and can have a great year with the Dallas Mavericks.
