On Tuesday, July 19, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced the 2021-22 NABC Court of Honor. Peru State College players Isaac Simpson (Papillion) and Blake Petersen (Columbus) were part of the NABC Honors Court.
“The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate men’s basketball players who finished the 2021-22 year with a GPA of 3.2 or higher, according to the NABC press release. .”
According to the press release, the NABC academic awards include winners from all levels of college basketball.
According to the press release, more than 2,000 players have secured a spot on the NABC Honors Court.

“Academic achievement is a core NABC value and a priority shared by men’s basketball programs across the country,” NABC executive director Craig Robinson said in the statement. “Excellence in the classroom takes hard work and dedication, and NABC considers it a privilege to honor these deserving student-athletes and the coaches and staff who support them.”
Bobcat Men’s Basketball Head Coach Bob Ludwig had this to say about the two winners.
“Isaac and Blake were model student-athletes during their four years on campus,” Coach Ludwig said. “They both have extremely bright futures in their respective career fields. I’m excited to follow their journey in the years to come and I have no doubt that they will be hugely successful.
